Commercial analysis

Analysis of this posh Porshe commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KRbzJ0L1Zn8
Here are the notes I took while. Watching this commercial. It's actually pretty sweet.
First, it starts with a dolly shot and then a medium shot to show the scene - a classroom.
Then they introduce the product (a Porsche) with a far shot.
Then it moves back to the classroom, where a discussion between a teacher and a student. The emphasis is on the teacher and a young boy (not part of discussion).
There is a tracking shot of Porsche from classroom as boy looks at it. the screen cuts regularly between boy and car. At the same time, dreamy, bellish music start playing.
Zoomz in to pencil as it drops and when teacher notices, music stops but continues when he draws the Porsche. Music then carries on through the ad.
Head on shot when boy is running/cycling sygnifies action, movement, speed.
High angle shot used on boy to signify his low age. Similarly, there is a high angle shot on Porche salesman to signify his age, power and height in comparison with the boy.
Ends in arc shot around Porsche to see it from many angles.

There it is. Running late, gotta go!

Leadership

Late January

I'm the class chairman! Woohoo!

...actually, it isn't all that great. Life never is like that. Ever since I've became chairman, I've been persued, mocked, ridiculed. People suddenly expect me to do everything, but I can't. People like XXXXX (don't want to point out any names here) look at me weird. People are like "Why isn't the chairman doing XXX," or "Chairman should do XXX." This isn't how it is supposed to be! The chairman is supposed to run the CMC, not do odd jobs! And just because I don't, people are trying to kick me out. Horrible. There's just one word for this: We hate It When Our Friends Become Successful. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pmAHOdAA7C4. Go check it out and tell me what you think of the lyrics.

Multiple intelligence test

...So, what is multiple intelligences?
It is basically a way of categorizing intelligences. Before Gardner (Howard Gardner, the guy who invented this), it was categorized into two parts - left brain and right brain. Left side is the logical, thinking side and right side is random and instinctive. You say, doesn't that make left superior over right? Not exactly. If we had no right brain, we would not have and artists, musicians, dreamers. The worlds supply of ideas would become limited due to a lack of creativity. Humans would eventually die out. Anyway, that's out of point.
There is NO real way to categorize intelligence, neither is there a way to find out people's intelligences. The other day, I saw some of my classmates repeating the test over and over again to become more 'logical'. I mean, it is a categorization and there is a lot of room for error.
So, I advise you to go with what you FEEL is right. A test is just as good at prediction as a fortune cookie if you cheat. Only YOU know what you are good at. Make the best of it.
